Zebra AltiZ 3D profile sensors · Mid range
AltiZ
High-accuracy dual-camera, single-laser 3D profile sensors that greatly reduce scan gaps caused by optical occlusion.
Zebra AltiZ are dual-camera, single-laser 3D profile sensors that greatly reduce scan gaps caused by optical occlusion at critical surface junctions. The two cameras work in synchronized or alternating mode; synchronized mode gives the highest accuracy, alternating mode doubles the speed. They generate up to 11,000 profiles per second, and embedded algorithms produce profiles, depth maps or point clouds. They support standard GigE Vision and PoE and have an IP67 aluminum housing with M12 connectors.

Use cases
- 3D line profiling
- Part scanning mounted on a gantry
- Part scanning mounted on a robot
- Measuring critical surface junctions
Not the right fit for
- Not suited to measurements outside the model's working range; Z range is 70–385 mm depending on the model.
- Not suited to environments below 0 °C or above 45 °C.
- Not suited to area scanning without object or sensor motion; as a profile sensor it builds 3D images by accumulating profiles through relative movement.
