3S40 is a 3D sensor that delivers high resolution and accuracy for depalletizing, static dimensioning and inspection of large products. Structured light technology produces highly detailed point clouds and true per-pixel measurement on static scenes. It comes with Aurora Design Assistant or Aurora Vision Studio and pairs with 4Sight EV7. Scanning volume reaches up to 2 m.

- Not suited to moving objects; 3S40 works in static mode only and the scan time is 450 ms.
- Not suited to objects closer than 870 mm; the scanning range starts at 870 mm.
- Not suited to environments with unstable temperatures; the operating range is 0–40 °C, optimal 22–25 °C.
