ZD421 Healthcare
Family of advanced 4-inch desktop printers purpose-built for healthcare: direct thermal, thermal transfer and ribbon cartridge.
They have disinfectant-ready white plastics, a UV-resistant enclosure, a sealed button interface and an IEC 60601-1 compliant power supply. They replace the GK Series and ZD420 Series. Print DNA makes setup and management easy, and PrintSecure helps protect against cyberattacks.

- ZD421 TT HC (roll ribbon): 300 m or 74 m ribbon, width 33.8–109.2 mm; media 15–112 mm; 267 x 202 x 189 mm, 2.05 kg.
- ZD421 RC HC (ribbon cartridge): 74 m cartridge ribbon, width 109.2 mm; media 15–118 mm; 254 x 202 x 177 mm, 2.3 kg. A smart chip in the ribbon signals when to change it.

Not the right fit for
- Environments below 4.4 °C or above 41 °C: they fall outside the operating temperature range.
- Media wider than 118 mm: the widest media limit in the family is 118 mm.
- High-volume printing on the RC HC: the cartridge holds only 74 m of ribbon.
